Teen Tested: My Confident Splash with Period Swimwear

Hey everyone!

I’m a 16-year-old girl from Singapore, I’m super active and love the outdoors. Whether it's hitting the beach, chilling by the pool, or indulging in water sports, I'm always up for some fun in the sun. However, there’s always been one little hiccup – dealing with my period during these activities.

I used to dread getting my period whenever I had plans for a beach day or swim classes. The thought of leaks and discomfort made me anxious and sometimes even made me cancel plans. That was until I discovered period swimwear. Yes, you heard that right – swimwear designed to handle your period! Intrigued? Let me tell you all about my experience.

Finding the Perfect Fit

When I first heard about period swimwear, I was sceptical. How could it possibly work? Would it leak? Would it be uncomfortable? I had so many questions. That’s when I found The Period Co. The team there was incredibly helpful. They patiently answered all my questions and reassured me about the reliability and comfort of their products. I decided to give it a shot and ordered a pair of period swim bottoms.

When my package arrived, I couldn’t wait to try them out. The fabric felt soft and comfortable, and the built-in absorbent liner was barely noticeable. Even though they felt just like regular swim bottoms, I was still nervous about my first time using them in the water.

Hitting the Waves

My first test was a trip to Sentosa with my friends. We had a day full of swimming in the sea and playing beach volleyball planned. As I changed into my period swimwear, I felt a mix of excitement and apprehension. Would they really work? I was determined to find out.

We spent the day swimming in the sea, and to my delight, the swim bottoms were incredibly comfortable. They didn’t feel bulky or heavy, even when wet. The real test was the constant movement and waves. I was worried that the swimwear might not hold up, but I didn’t experience any leaks or discomfort at all. The period swimwear kept me feeling secure and confident the entire time. It was amazing to be able to focus on having fun without constantly worrying about my period.

A Game Changer for Active Girls

Using period swimwear has been a game changer for me. It’s given me the freedom to enjoy water activities without stress. I don’t have to worry about pads getting soaked in the water, and I can stay in the water as long as I want without running to the bathroom every few hours.

Another great thing is that it’s eco-friendly. Traditional menstrual products create a lot of waste, but period swimwear is reusable and lasts a long time. It feels good to know I’m making a positive impact on the environment while also taking care of myself.

Final Thoughts

For any girls out there who love water activities but dread dealing with their period, I highly recommend giving period swimwear a try. It’s comfortable, reliable, and lets you enjoy your time in the water without any worries. Trust me, it’s a total game changer.

Next time you’re gearing up for a beach day or swim class, don’t let your period hold you back. Grab some period swimwear from The Period Co. and dive right in! And if you have any questions or concerns, the wonderful team at The Period Co. is always there to help.

Stay sporty and confident,
Ana
